Hi, I'm Sarah, the artist and maker behind Hazelune Design Studio!
Hazelune has never fit neatly into one medium, and I've stopped trying to make it.
My work moves between painting, mixed media, dimensional pieces, digital illustration, murals, and whatever new material has caught my attention that week. What ties it all together is a love of texture, unexpected details, old and beautiful things, and artwork that feels like it has a story behind it.
Some pieces begin as a sketch. Some start with an antique frame, a strand of chain, an unusual color, or an idea I can't quite get out of my head. I like figuring out how to turn those ideas into something tangible, even when that means learning an entirely new process to make it happen.
Hazelune is the home for all of it.
I'm based in North Carolina, where I create original artwork, limited pieces, prints, and murals. Much of what you'll find here is made in small quantities or exists only once, because I'd rather follow an idea somewhere interesting than make the same thing forever.
